We would say at least a year out to feel confident. Even if it’s a vendor you are just considering, ask if they can reserve the date for you or put down a refundable deposit so that you can at least know that you have them in your back pocket in case something changes. The longer you wait, the less availability each vendor is going to have and the higher the fees are going to be.
